17th April 2011 – Club AGM
A well attended AGM was held at Horizon Hotel, Ayr. Full minutes will be emailed to all members but the key points were –
2010 / 11 Season Report
First team were unlucky to be relegated from Div.1
The second team narrowly missed promotion from Div 4 principally due to the lack of depth when numbers were down due to work/holidays by regular players.

Financial Report
Club finances are generally healthy however two main issues remain. Delay in getting invoices from South Ayrshire Council and forthcoming requirement to pay Scottish Squash affiliation fees.

Election of Office Bearers
Alasdair and Ian were thanked for their term of office and stood down as Chairman and Secretary/Treasurer respectively.

The following officials were elected/re-elected unanimously.
Chairman: - Alasdair Meldrum
Secretary/treasurer: - Ian McGill
First team Captain: - David Morrison
Second team Captain: - Ian McGill
A new post of development officer was created to try and encourage more participation and Euan Allison was duly elected.

Membership Fees
Given the healthy balance sheet it was felt that the fees should remain as last year with the proviso that the management committee of office bearers may wish to increase the fees if the Scottish squash affiliation and the anticipated increase in food for match nights are causing concern about being able to cover court fees
Fees are therefore:-

Team players £25 per month (includes match costs except share of drinks)
Social players (twice a week) £15 per month
Social players (once a week) £10 per month
Juniors (<18) £5 per month
Non-playing members £5 per year

Monthly fees should be paid by standing order.

Anyone not paying by standing order and wishing to play in club time would be charged £5 per session irrespective of how much court time they take and could not be guaranteed a slot on busy nights.

Junior Development
It was agreed that the club should put some effort, in conjunction with Scottish Squash to develop some junior squash in the area. It was agreed that committee should make necessary arrangements to allow this to happen including getting coaches trained and organising junior sessions.
